Sustainability features include large glass walls, interactive exhibits, research space, figural skylights, natural environments, flexible open spaces, rooftop sculpture garden.
Accessible educational studios and classrooms are also part of the programming. Unique to this museum is the extensive research areas devoted to indigenous art, people, culture, landscape, history.
